Steamed Egg Tofu with Minced Meat Recipe

It is really tough trying to think of presentable, tasty, yet easy-to-prepare dishes for dinners (especially when you have guests coming over!)

The Steamed Egg Tofu with Minced Meat (I'm sorry for my lack of creativity in thinking of an exotic name for this dish) is THE PERFECT DISH that will look good in photos, taste delicious, and can be prepared within 15 short minutes.



Ingredients
(Serves 6)
- 1 tube of egg tofu, sliced
- Half a bowl of minced pork
- 12 wolfberries
- 6 shrimps, sliced length-wise
- 1 crabmeat stick, finely chopped
- 0.5 small shallot, finely chopped
- 1 shiitake mushroom, finely chopped
- Spring onion, finely chopped
- Corn starch
- Light soy sauce
- Chinese Shaoxing wine
- Cooking oil
- Salt and pepper



Method
1. Slice egg tofu and place it on plate.
2. In a separate bowl, mix together the minced meat and chopped crabmeat stick, shallots, mushrooms and spring onions.
3. Add 0.5 tsp oil, 1 tsp corn flour, a dash of pepper, 1 tsp Shaoxing wine, a dash of salt and 1 tsp light soy sauce to meat.
4. Mix well and make tiny meatballs to place atop the egg tofu.
5. Wash wolfberries. Top each meatball with a wolf berry.
6. Sprinkle 1 tablespoonful of light soy sauce over the entire plate.
7. Steam the dish for 8 minutes.
8. Garnish and serve.
